I do seriously wonder if some of the team intentionally obfuscate the codebase to damage the company.
Never attribute to malice what you can attribute to incompetence, but in 2018-2020 I could ship several features a day. From mid 2021 there was some massive refactoring by the team and every time I complained that it made me unable to contribute to the codebase I was told I was being a bit of a bitch.
I should have fired a lot of people way fucking earlier.
