i guess the non-phasing answer to my shirt button paradox is that something swapped sides in my brain in a kind of brain-defrag and now my muscle memory for doing up buttons sits on the other side of my brain, and i havent quite worked out how to mirror all the actions so that it feels natural to push the button through holes on the left side of my body - but i like the idea that i spent 44 years in a left-button-side-shirt universe lol
